The territory for this role is Pittsburgh, PA.DescriptionThe Territory Manager develops an assigned territory to meet desired sales, gross margin, and profit goals. The Territory Manager represents the entire range of company products and services available within hisher territory to assigned customers while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring the customer's needs and expectations are met by the company.Essential FunctionsTerritory ManagementProactively leads an account planning process that develops performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestonesEstablish a business plan to meet assigned objectives, goals, and quotasProper management of assigned T&E budgetAccount ManagementImplements selling process with account planning and sales callsEstablishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accountsIdentifies growth opportunities within existing accounts and target accounts.Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basisLeads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnelMarketingTrainingSupports and execute Vetoquinol's Sales and Marketing activitiesConducts product knowledge training sessions with customer's sales staff on all applicable productsMerchandises each customer with updated samples, literature, and municationProper communication internally and externally, including prompt reviews and replies to email, voice mail, and phone callsRelays all competitive information to company managementMeet all required deadlines and proper follow-up and follow through on requests assigned or asked of the Territory Manager.TravelThis role will require travel up to 60%-70% of the time, including travel associated with territory management, trainings, veterinary conferences, and business meetings.Overnight travel will be required to effectively manage your territory.This role requires the employee to maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Vetoquinol USA's car insurance policy.General and AdministrativeSupports the corporate vision, mission, and valuesCommunicates effectively with various management and operational departments, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and customer objectives are metComplies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules, and regulationsCompiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manualsParticipates as a team player by supporting company operations as neededAll other duties as requested by managementQualificationsFormal Education and CertificationFour-year college degree from an accredited institution5 years experience in business-to-business sales may be substituted for educational requirementKnowledge and ExperienceMinimum of 2-5 years' experience in business-to-business salesExperience in animal or human health sales is highly preferredComputer skills and proficiencyPersonal AttributesExceptional organizational and time management skillsHighly developed interpersonal skills, possessing an ability to work with a diverse populationProven skills in negotiationAbility to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a teamDesire to serveVetoquinol USA is an equal opportunity employer.
