Akkodis is searching for a SCADA Integration Engineer to Work directly with project teams reviewing design documents and deliverables (drawings, points maps, configuration files, etc.) for systems and components related to substation and renewable energy SCADA systems.Title: SCADA Integration Engineer Type: Direct HireSalary: 85k - 135kannualLocation: Santa Fe Springs, CAEssential FunctionsProvide oversight, direction, and support to field crews as projects are being constructedResponsible for the Network SCADA engineering aspects on photovoltaic and BESS designs and pursuit projectsDuties include the areas of Network design and programming (LANWAN), SCADA design and programming, Field SCADA Integration, Field Network integration, and troubleshootingSupports commissioning activities for Substation, PV Array, and BESSBasic understanding of discipline specific technical designs, engineering principles, business standards, practices, procedures, and product program requirementsAssist field personnel in resolving unanticipated site issues and conditionsReview equipment vendor drawings on major equipment from manufacturersProvide engineering support for proposals, estimating, procurement and constructionProvide engineering review of internal and external design documents and submittalsReview and ensure detailed designs aligned with our customer requirements, applicable industry codes and standards, best industry practicesVerify that the designs that are constructed agree with the electrical engineering design drawings, including preparatory meetings, and QAQCSupport development of technical requirements and standards for fabrication and construction bid packagesHas knowledge of software programs and protocols: IEEE 61850, IEC 61131-3, SEL, ABB & GE platforms, DNP, Modbus, Bocce, etc.Has experience with routers, managed switches, LAN development, WAN developmentHas experience with integration and debug of programs in a substation or industrial environmentWorks independently with direction from SCADA Engineering ManagerCoordinate with other engineering disciplines, Project Managers, Project Engineers, to successfully deliver design projectsProvides technical support to personnelcross functional teams supporting the assigned projects.Coordinate and attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders to review to review schedule and progressCoordinate with Construction Manager, Field Superintendent, General Foreman, Foremen and Project Manager, to provide schedule and progress updatesQualificationsPossess a minimum of 4 to 7 years of related work experience (Can be a combination of trade & relevant work experience)Preferred graduate of four-year college or university with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related Engineering program.
