Membership with TRA also includes benefits from the National Restaurant Association and access to local chapters across Texas, significantly enhancing the value of the investment.JOB SUMMARY:The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) serves over 56,000 restaurant and foodservice establishments in Texas, as well as the 1.4 million people in the industry's workforce. The Membership Sales Representative plays a key role in growing the Association's membership. They lead campaigns that highlight the value of membership and increase engagement across the Association's 23 Chapters.The Membership Sales Representative is responsible for identifying opportunities to expand membership across the state. They ensure new members are engaged by promoting the adoption of available benefits, products, and services (BPS) in collaboration with the Member Value Manager. Working closely with key stakeholders, they build new member relationships and help maintain the Association's high retention and engagement rates. This role is based in the Houston office.DUTIES:Membership Acquisition (90%)Core to the success of the TRA is a strong membership, counted not only in number of members, but strength of engagement and adoption of available benefits, products, and services. The Membership Sales Representative is responsible for the success of membership development and engagement.Key activities include:Qualify, contact, and drive new membership from sourced and self-generated lead lists.Support marketing efforts in driving member acquisition through digital channels, providing assistance when a personal touch is needed to close the sale.Respond to member referrals and drive successful member acquisition.Support engagement team with Chapter follow up on event-driven leads to drive successful conversion.Track all activities and engagements with potential members in the organization's CRM, to collect sales trend data and gain insights into membership movement.Collaborate with the Member Value Manager to incorporate the tangible financial benefits of TRA benefits, products, and services (BPS) in the sales cycle.Onboarding and Engagement (10%)Ensuring the successful first year for a new member begins with completing the member join process and an effective hand-off to the regional engagement team.Key activities include:Finalize the member enrollment process by ensuring the member profile is complete, including location information and key contact user accounts, within the organization's CRM.Assess the BPS the new member is interested in and flag it to initiate contact with the relevant partners and begin the adoption process.Facilitate the hand-off between the new member and the local regional team, including introductions to the local Executive Director and Member Engagement Manager, and sharing relevant contact information.And all other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in communications, business management, or a related field, with 2-4 years of experience; or 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, communications, or a related field.Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365), Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, MailChimp (or similar platforms), and SalesforceCRM is petency with digital and social media.Excellent verbal and written skills, comfortable presenting to large crowds.Proven attention to detail, highly organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.The ability to maintain a consistent positive attitude toward all members and staff.Previous sales and marketing experience in the hospitalityrestaurant sector or within member-driven associations is preferred.The role requires some local (Texas) travel to support Association activities, not exceeding 15-20% of total hours worked.Since the industry the Association serves operates 247365, the role may occasionally require availability outside of standard business hours (9 to 5), including for special events, meetings, or emergency situations, as needed or directed by the C-Suite.
