Description: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's best pre-K through 12th grade private schools, where students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a cost-free home and a top-notch education. Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, the school is fully endowed today, with the resources to ensure students can thrive. The school has prepared almost 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students. MHS is seeking an Admissions Processor for the School's high-volume Admissions Department. This position plays a central role in the admissions process for students and their families as they explore the possibility of attending MHS. The Processor also works extensively within the admissions team to facilitate the completion of admissions applications. This is an on-site position, working 40 hours per week, and includes occasional weekend and evening work. The position compensates between $20.40 to $27.24 an hour, depending on years of experience. Responsibilities include: Providing exemplary customer service, welcoming and communicating with families, professionals, and others. Providing accurate information regarding eligibility criteria, etc. Answering phones, responding to email inquiries, managing mail, greeting guests, etc. Compiling and maintaining records and files, accurate database management and data compilation. Assisting with the collection of information required for applications. Qualifications: HS diploma or GED required. A year or more of successful administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment with complex information. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to put people at ease, collect and relay complex information effectively, and an ability to collaborate well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong data entry skills and proficiency with databases and Microsoft applications. Demonstrated skills in maintaining excellence in accuracy and detail orientation, especially when multi-tasking in a dynamic setting. High degree of confidentiality and discernment is required. Experience working with families from disadvantaged settings a plus. Fluency in Spanish a plus. Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
