Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This is a technical, infrastructure-focused role designed for a professional with a robust background in IT infrastructure who has transitioned into cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will build and maintain secure systems, work directly with networking and server infrastructure, and act as a key liaison with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain secure infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and security solutions.Configure and manage routers, firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Meraki), and other networking equipment to support security objectives.Collaborate with the MSP to respond to security alerts and incidents, performing investigations and implementing solutions.Make informed security decisions based on a deep understanding of infrastructure interactions.Utilize PowerShell expertise to streamline and automate tasks when needed.Ensure systems and networks comply with security best practices and industry standards.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to server and network security.Qualifications:Infrastructure Background: At least 3+ years in IT infrastructure roles (e.g., configuring routers, managing servers) with a subsequent focus on cybersecurity.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls (Cisco ASA, Meraki), and server architecture, with the ability to understand how systems interact.Azure Experience: Familiarity with Azure infrastructure and its role in secure system setups.Scripting Proficiency: Expertise in PowerShell for administrative and automation cident Management: Experience handling security alerts, investigations, and liaising with work Security: Hands-on experience with network security engineering, including secure configuration of networking equipment.Nice-to-Have:Basic understanding of automation tools and scripting languages beyond PowerShell.Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.
