The Beneva Group | Sr. Lean & Operations Manager

Beneva Group has been engaged by a stable and growing manufacturer of electric and gas distribution equipment to help them find their next Sr. Lean & Operations Manager in the Newark, NJ, area. This is a vital role that will oversee and optimize one business unit's operations as it moves to a different building recently purchased by the company. This person will also oversee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing within this business unit's operations.Key Responsibilities:Manage and optimize production processes for a team of approximately 100 employeesOversee 4 production managers, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goalsWork with Scheduling to ensure alignment between processesSupport and improve Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, MDI boards, and process & material flow optimizationCo-lead brownfield project management initiatives in preparation for future facility changesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational efficiencyDevelop and maintain strong relationships with team members, fostering a positive work cultureEnsure compliance with safety regulations and quality standardsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related fieldMaster's degree or relevant certifications (Lean) are a plusProven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation strategiesExcellent leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage diverse teams and navigate multicultural work environmentsExperience with brownfield project management preferredManufacturing industry experience with Electrical products Electromechanical Breakers highly desirableAbility to navigate in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus)Follow the Beneva Group on LinkedIn:
