Our client in Essex County, NJ is looking to hire an experienced Operations Director within the aviationaerospace sector. Ground support equipment experience is REQUIRED.Key Responsibilities:Operations ManagementOversee multi-site operations, ensuring safety and maintenance.Align operations with Group strategy, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.Team LeadershipBuild and lead empowered, agile teams.Support Operations Managers and staffSafety LeadershipMaintain a zero-harm safety culture.Ensure daily safety for all team members and stakeholders.Customer RelationsMaintain positive customer relationships and exceed expectations.Support new operation start-ups.Financial OversightManage P&L for sites and workshops.Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives.Strategic Implementation RequirementsExceptional leadership and communication skills.10-15 years experience as an Operations leader.Experience in aviation and aerospace strongly preferred.Ability to travel 50%.Hands-on, driven entrepreneur with a strategic vision.Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.Strong technical background or interest in aviation and GSE industry.Skilled in planning and implementing operational projects.
