Job DescriptionLatin America Credit TradingUSD Corporate Bond TraderBBVA Securities Inc. - New YorkSenior Associate to VP levelResponsibilitiesExperienced professional responsible for:Secondary market-making in Latin America International Corporate Bond Issues denominated in USDWorking in very close partnership with BBVA's fixed income sales teams in New York, Europe, Latin America and Asia to build a first-class customer secondary flow businessActively trading Latam USD-denominated Corporate and Sovereign bond issues with all the major global credit funds that manage portfolios of Latin American international bondsDevising and implementing risk management strategies using US Treasuries, Latin American USD bonds and credit default swapsMeet or exceed predetermined PL budget expectationsRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Physical SciencesMinimum 3-7-year experience as a market-maker in Latin American international corporate bond issues in USD working with large global institutional clientsExcellent knowledge of sales and trading protocolHungry and highly motivated individualVery good communication skillsStrong analytical mindExcellent risk management skillsStrong familiarity with the macro situation of all the major Latin American economiesFundamental knowledge of corporate creditExcellent familiarity with all major US Credit funds and London-based Credit funds that manage Latin American international sovereign andor corporate bond issues in USDWell known to and respected by major US and London-based institutional investorsVery proficient with Bloomberg, ION Trading, Murex and major emerging markets bonds electronic trading platformsFINRA Series 7 and 63 licensesFluent in EnglishStrong experience in teaching and training junior traders a plusAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
