Our client is one of the world's largest processors of micronized polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of a broad line of specialty products. They are a family-owned business with over 80 years of service and continue to innovate and provide technical service to customers worldwide!We are searching for a Technical Director to join their team on an on-site, full-time basis at their global Headquarters in Newark, NJ. The compensation for this position is $160k-$180k based on experience.Responsibilities:Lead and sponsor the global technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ethical behavior, continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability.Train and develop the North American group of laboratories, assigning projects, appraising individual performance, and ensuring that high efficiency and quality standards are anize and oversee the technical team through effective recruiting, retaining, training, and professional development.Administer and prepare laboratory budgets.Qualifications:Master's or PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in specialty additives, polymers, coatings, or chemical industries required, with a strong focus on polymers and chemical formulation.5+ years of management experience preferred.The Wilner Group is a professional staffing and talent management firm.
