Desire to be in a technical content engineering role tasked with creating technical content for the latest 5 Must have thorough knowledge of ACI 6 Automation experience with Python and Ansible Description This team is call the Technical Community and Certifications group; this is the group that is responsible for the development/creation of learning products . Learning products include Certification courses, technical domain/services courses and labs. This group enables customers to achieve outcomes for products at each stage of the customer life-cycle by personalized learning. We are looking for a Technical Content Engineer to join our team. This person will be specifically supporting Cisco Data Center Technology such as ACI, Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless devices, Security devices, Unified Communication devices and especially Data Center Networking, (Nexus), Cisco Unified Computing Systems, Compute & Storage devices (Fiber Channel, iSCSI and NFS). This person will be responsible for developing industry leading learning assets for a variety of technical education offerings to customers, partners and employees. This person will be responsible for the following duties: - Prepare and schedules technology updates to keep team current with new technology and technology roadmaps. - Support the development of and/or modify education products, assessments, exercises, learning products, and courses as assigned. - Develop Instructor Certification and Train the Trainer programs. - Provide technical information to external instructors about education offerings. - Limited project management, including coordination of personnel for training efforts. - Manage own personal development and keeping certifications updated. - Responsible for maintaining currency with the product lines and solutions to the extent of designing an entire educational curriculum and managing the team responsible for building the products contained within the curriculum. - Participate in Design Workshop ensuring all critical curriculum components are represented in course design documents, Table of Specifications, Exam Blueprint and that technical and educational relevance is maintained. - Attend all courses Alpha, Beta and Train the Trainer when required (in person or virtual). - Participate in cross-functional technology summit meeting and stay current on all assigned technologies and associated product roadmaps. - Support Author Query/Check of Edits and other QA activities. - Participate in project close, post-mortem, and final cost, controls, and metrics reporting. - Consult with Marketing and Product Management when developing product business cases. Authoring and review of certification assessment items (multiple choice, drag & drop and complex item types). Provide technical escalation point for project team. Required skills: - Demonstrates proven technical expertise and training development, and training delivery. - Ability to utilize internal and external training resources to meet delivery needs. - Capable of delivering technical educational materials. - Capable of delivering to executive level staff. - Working knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless devices, Security devices, Unified Communication devices and especially Data Center Networking, (Nexus), Cisco Unified Computing Systems, Compute & Storage devices (Fiber Channel, iSCSI and NFS). - Working knowledge of TCP/IP, network routing protocols and physical infrastructure. - Creation of Network Diagrams and documentation. - Design of network topologies - Design course lab topologies to support educational instruction. - Working knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and to learn additional development software programs as required. - Strong experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter - Experience with Xyleme LCMS highly desirable. Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
