Location: North East-Region, (Eastern time zone ) to cover Mid Atlantic region Job Overview: The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key national clients across multiple markets, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals and driving revenue growth. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and expanding the company's customer base by collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders. The NAM will work to maximize account potential, enhance customer satisfaction, and ultimately contribute to the organization's overall sales objectives. Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts, acting as the primary point of contact. Oversee day-to-day account activities, ensuring client needs are met and that the company's products/services are delivered as promised. Regularly communicate with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions. Serve as the liaison between the client and internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, logistics, product development) to ensure effective execution of business strategies. Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned national accounts to maximize revenue growth. Identify new business opportunities within key accounts and cross-sell or upsell products and services where applicable. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Monitor sales performance against targets and develop corrective action plans when necessary. Client Retention & Satisfaction: Proactively engage clients to ensure their satisfaction with the products/services provided, handling issues and resolving conflicts quickly and effectively. Regularly assess customer needs and propose product/service enhancements or changes. Conduct periodic business reviews with clients to demonstrate value and identify opportunities for improvement or expansion. Market & Industry Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new opportunities or threats to existing business. Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams on customer trends, competitive activities, and potential gaps in the product or service offering. Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular reports on account status, sales forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management. Use CRM software to maintain detailed records of account interactions, sales progress, and key insights. Collaboration & Team Leadership: Work closely with other departments (marketing, logistics, customer service, etc.) to ensure that the needs of national accounts are being met. Train, mentor, and support junior sales team members where applicable. Collaborate with the marketing team to tailor promotional strategies for key accounts. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred). Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, with at least 3 years in managing national accounts or large-scale clients in the wine industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing large, complex client portfolios. Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data to make strategic decisions. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all organizational levels. Proficient in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Requirements: The candidate needs to be located in the Eastern time zone. We are flexible on the location, but ideal candidates should be prepared to cover customers in the Mid Atlantic region. Account coverage to include, but not limited to, Total Wine, Costco, & Wegmans. Willingness to travel as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to address client challenges.
