InsurTech Startup | Wholesale Insurance Broker (P&C)

We're seeking an experienced wholesale broker who embraces technology and innovation, and is excited to build and scale a new company. We want you to love insurance but hate how inefficient it is.The ideal candidate is a wholesale broker with experience selling commercial property andor general liability coverage. We don't need you to bring your own relationships but help handle Novella's inbound volume and build new long term relationships within Novella. Your primary job will be selling insurance and building client relationships. But as with any startup, the ideal candidate is excited to do whatever it takes to push Novella forward.The Day to DayHandle and sell commercial insurance submissions received by Novella, placing them with our carrier partners and liaising between retail brokers and insurance carriers.Engage with retail brokers to introduce them to Novella, and develop long term relationships growing Novella's submission pipeline.Negotiate competitive quotes with markets and find coverage for retail brokers with new carriers Novella doesn't yet work with.Work with our product and engineering team to find ways to streamline and automate the wholesale function.What We're Looking For4+ years at a national or regional wholesaler selling or underwriting commercial P&C insurance.Active P&C and surplus lines license (ideally country wide, but not required).In-depth knowledge of commercial E&S markets and coverage - specifically commercial property and general liability.Someone flexible who understands every day at an early stage startup is like a decade in the corporate world. We move quickly and do whatever needs to get done no matter your title.
