ONSITE IN NYC, TEMPORARY TO POSSIBLE TEMP TO HIRE. *****Please do not apply if you are unable to commute to this location*****Talent Acquisition Specialist Source, interview, and recommend qualified candidates to fill permanent and temporary positions in a timely and cost-effective manner; assess candidate qualifications based on behavioral interviews, job requirements, and pre-employment testing resultsPartner with Hiring Managers to understand departmental needs and proper qualifications of candidates; screen and provide a pipeline of quality candidates for selectionEnsure adherence to policies and procedures relating to internal promotions and transfersRecord all recruitment and hiring activity in Applicant Tracking System for information retention and reportsAssist Talent Acquisition team with sourcing, screening, scheduling internal external candidates and completing backgroundemployment reference checks.Review completed employment applications for accuracy and completion; and set up online assessments for job candidates; respond and resolve job candidate questions regarding testing and other issues that may arise during testing sessionsHandle new hire paperwork processing, verifying proper completion of forms, ensuring acceptable documents and identification are provided, and follow up with new hires regarding missing documents andor formsProvide regular updates on position status to Hiring Managers, agencies, and job candidates; schedule interviews, conduct background checks, and extend verbalwritten job offersPerform additional duties and projects as directed by managementQualificationsBachelor's Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or relevant major requiredMinimum two (2) years recruiting experience to include sourcing, interviewing, and assessing job applicants required; experience recruiting temporary and seasonal positions highly preferredDemonstrated knowledge of behavioral interviewing techniques and effective sourcing strategiesMust have experience working in a Human Resources department, experience working in a Union environment a plusAbility to develop and cultivate effective working relationships with all levels of staff, Hiring Managers, and outside vendors i.e. Search Firms, and temporary agenciesExperience working with applicant tracking systems (i.e Taleo) highly preferredProfessional appearance and excellent oralwritten communication skills a must to accurately and professionally communicate with management, applicants, and employeesGood critical thinking capabilities; ability to perform complex analysis and identify trendsAbility to meet tight deadlines and handle competing priorities
