Whether it's a better work culture, a better environment, or a better future, we aim for greatness!** Salary is adjusted based on experience.What we expect of you:Quality - A commitment to quality workIntegrity - You do what's right, even when it's munication - You communicate when things are great and when you need help.What you need:Experience managing & disposing of regulated wasteExperience working at a Hazardous Waste Storage Facility (HWSF), an Environmental Service Waste Management Site (ESWMS), or Environmental OfficeUnited States Citizenship RequiredAbility to obtain a secret government security clearanceThe skillsexperience we want to see:PROGRAM - knowledge of hazardous waste operations, storage, disposal, labeling, marking of regulated waste, chemical characterization, disposal procedures, record keeping, sampling techniques, and hazardous substance incident response.REGULATIONS - Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER); Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Health and Safety at Work Act of 2015 (HSWA); Department of Transportation (DOT) standards; Clean Water Act; Clean Air Act; 29 Code of Federal Regulations; 40 CFR; 49 CFR; and state regulations.WASTE - Perform environmental protection duties related to the management and disposal of regulated waste [i.e. Hazardous Waste (HW), Universal Wastes (UW), State Regulated Wastes (SRW), and other Regulated Soil Waste (RGW)].SPILLS - Perform spill cleanups under the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) programs, Facility Response Plan, Public Works Contingency Plan, and Incident Response Plan. DOCUMENTATION - Prepare uniform HW manifests, shipping documents, land disposal restriction (LDR) forms, andor bill of lading for transporting materialwaste over public highways as required by laws, regulations, and policies, to ensure timely receipt and compliant disposal. INSPECTIONS - inspect containers for structural integrity, accumulation dates, proper identification markings, and transportability; inspect contents to ensure compliance with regulations, management plans, and permits; inspect Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAA) and Hazardous Waste Storage Facility (HWSF) on a routine basis.TRANSFER - physically transfer wastes from one containerpack to another, as required due to deteriorated containers or incompatible wastes; Implement use & guidance in the UST DOT Emergency Response Guidebook; must pass an annual occupational health physical examination.OPERATION - must drive a motor vehicle & operate a forklift; thus, driver license and forklift operator license must be required and maintained.TEAMING - Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment and across functional boundaries.The Extras!Immediate access to Healthcare401K (with 5% matching)Pension PlanAll Federal Holidays off (11-days), Sick Leave, and Annual LeaveWork with over 100 Architects and EngineersTuition DiscountsAlternate Work Schedules and Telework (varies by office)We support Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) Fort Worth, TX Join Our Team Today!The Department of Navy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
