Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.This position reporst to the Manager Safety & HealthWhat you will do:Assist in coordination of site wide PSM activities to ensure technical support to the Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, other plant departmentsAdvise site management on all PSM issues and recommended solutionsParticipate in the establishment of short and long term PSM program strategies and goals for the continual improvement of site PSM performanceAssist department employees in the review of all plant process additions, modifications, construction, and operations for compliance with Company PSM policy and regulatory requirementsManagement change and incident reportingcorrective action tracking software programEnsure site PHA Facilitators consistently adhere to regulatory and corporate requirements by managing providing the required training in HazOps, SIL, SRS, and SISAttend PHA team meetings to provide coaching and technical guidance in PSM principlesEnsure incident investigations are conducted per corporate and site requirementsEnsure and manage PSM corrective actions developed from Incident Investigations, PHAs, and audits are aimed at reducing or eliminating process and physical hazardsProduce, advise, review andor manage all PSM correspondence, record keeping, and reporting documentation for all site PSM process activitiesManage company PSM program policy changes and revisions and communicating to andor training employees and contractors, as requiredStay informed of new or pending PSM regulations and methods of enforcement and inspections by regulatory agenciesIdentify, develop, and manage PSM program costs for the Health & Safety Department budgetWork directly with regulatory agencies on all PSM matters including agency inspectionsAssist other Phosphate sites to apply PSM principles by providing technical expertise, site PSM policies and procedures and performing PSM focused auditsProvide technical assistance for personal safety initiativesActively supports and involved with all safety programsWhat you will bring:B.S. Degree in Engineering2 years of experience, preferred 5 years, in a Process Safety Management covered process or industryTWIC requiredUnderstand site wide operations, including both the Chemical plants and the Mine areasStrong knowledge of the OSHA Standards for General Industry regulation 29 CFR 1910.119Technical and intellectual horsepower for problem-solvingAction-oriented attitude, creative and able to deal with ambiguityResourcefulness, organization, and possess the ability to plan strategicallyHave a good understanding of manufacturing operationsStrong knowledge of the OSHA Standards for General Industry regulation 29 CFR 1910.119Technical and intellectual knowledge for problem solvingExperience with incident investigationsAbility to plan, measure, and interpret results from an examination of the environment and present specific conclusions through verbal and written communications to management with minimal supervisionIncumbent must pass a pre-employment exam and drug screeningCompensation & Benefits:We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week.
