Job Description:We are seeking a Security Operations Analyst for a rolling 6 month contract. University upper classmen and recent grads are welcome to apply.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking, Windows Operating Systems, UnixLinux Operating System. Familiarity with NIST & MITRE frameworks is a must. The candidate should also have the ability to perform basic triage, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in vulnerability management.Location: Jersey City, currently in office Tuesday, Wed, Thursday (Remote Monday & Friday)Responsibilities:Monitor and analyze alerts from a wide array of security devices and systemsPerform basic triage and incident response, escalating issues as necessaryApply knowledge of NIST & MITRE frameworks to improve security postureManage vulnerabilities within the organization's networkCollaborate with team members to enhance security protocolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsQualifications:Academic work in Computer Science or a similar fieldKnowledge of networking, Windows Operating Systems, UnixLinux Operating SystemFamiliarity with NIST & MITRE frameworksAbility to perform basic triageExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in vulnerability managementPreferred skills:Familiarity with firewallsFamiliarity with networkingFamiliarity with operating systems (ie, Windows, Unix, Linux)Familiarity with Cloud (Azure & AWS)Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages
