Well established special event turnkey production company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager, to drive sales through existing relationships and building new client relationships, to join their team. The Business Development Manager will have an existing clientele portfolio and engage with prospective clients who are looking for unique ways to upscale their events. The ideal candidate will have an established network of clients in the event community and knowledge of various venues in New York City.Business Development Manager Responsibilities:Source new leads and generate salesHosting and conducting site visits often with multiple vendorsclientsRespond to and follow up on sales inquiries, and pending proposalsAbility to cultivate and solidify new business dealsPrepare and provide detailed weekly event reports including new leads, sales reports, financial reports directly for senior managementDevelop a pipeline of qualified leads through networking and marketing activitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clientsQualifications:Minimum 3-5 years of event sales andor event planning experienceProven track record of meeting monthly sales goals and objectivesHighly professional written and oral communication skills requiredAbility to prioritize and plan work activities, be detail oriented, organized and maintain confidentialityMust be proficient in in the following computer programs: MS Outlook, MS Word & MS ExcelAbility to perform under minimal supervision and work extendedirregular hours when neededProviding exceptional customer service is a mustTo discuss this exciting opportunity please send resume outlining your related event sales planning experience.
