This position will be associated with our Meherrin location in Williamsport, PA.The Company With more than 40 locations along the eastern seaboard in the United States, Meherrin Agricultural and Chemical Company is a leading provider of seeds, chemicals, and fertilizers to farmers. Our mission is to partner with our customers by providing agronomic inputs and services using the most effective solutions.Job PurposeTo manage and grow sales in assigned geography while also providing leadership and oversight for all territory activities. In addition, the location sales representative is responsible for creating a culture in line with the company's values and managing the territory P&L. Base facility is located in Williamsport, PA. This position will report to the Manager.Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 a year depending on experienceEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and grow sales within the territory.Meet and exceed performance objectives including unit and margin targets.Support current dealers and recruit and develop new dealers.Sell to farmers.Build and maintain relationships with farmers in assigned territory.Provide best-in-class service to our customers.Execute on Meherrin sales strategy.Stay up to date on products, trends, and technologies.Assist with monthly physical inventory count as needed.Attend and participate in industry events (trade shows, field days, etc.)Ensure that all daily activities are aligned with Meherrin's mission, vision, and values.Adhere to company's credit policies and procedures.Travel is required and will vary depending on job responsibilities and territory.Education andor ExperienceAssociate degree or higherPrior outside sales experienceGood understanding of agriculture production, products, and agronomics.Team PlayerWork well with team setting and individuallyPhysical DemandRequires the ability to use computer-based tools for planning and analysis on a frequent basis. May have to remain stationary for extended periods, but also needs to navigate through work areas.
