As we continue to develop pioneering solutions, we're looking for innovative leaders to help shape the future of apparel.About the Role:The VP of Business Development will drive the expansion of our Formcut platform to enterprise clients within the apparel industry. We're looking for someone who has sold clothing to renown global brands and retailers and can speak confidently about technology. While predominantly sales focused, this role is a unique mix of apparel and technology. You will lead initiatives to grow our client base, build strategic partnerships, and increase revenue, working closely with internal teams to align on product and sales strategies.**The position can be located in either Greater Chicago, IL or Greater Raleigh, NC.**Are You a Fit? We're looking for someone who can answer "yes" to the following:10+ years of experience in a sales leadership role within apparel (ideally!) or technology (secondarily) within a fast-growing organizationProven success in hitting revenue targets, developing sales strategies, and closing complex dealsA natural leader who can switch between hands-on sales execution and sales strategy when neededExperience leading and mentoring teams to achieve sales goals, drive professional growth, and complete projects on timeStrong communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teamAn understanding of apparel product design, development, supplier management, and supply chain coordinationA passion for fashion trends and the potential of AI and machine learning to transform the retail apparel landscapeKey ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development Identify new target markets, customer segments, and sales opportunities within the apparel industryCraft and execute sales strategies that achieve revenue targetsBuild lasting relationships with prospects, clients, e-commerce platforms, and strategic partnersShare market insights on customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor activitiesCollaborate with marketing to develop compelling sales collateralRepresent Size Stream at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to showcase our scan-to-factory platform and attract new businessCustomer Relationship ManagementFoster and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing concerns and providing exceptional post-sales supportWork closely with the client services team to ensure a smooth customer journey, from acquisition to long-term retentionCollect feedback and data from clients to inform product development, pricing, and marketing strategiesLeverage analytics to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within our client baseSales Team LeadershipAs the business grows, hire other knowledgeable and motivated business development professionalsLead, coach, and inspire the sales team to exceed revenue targets, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and accountabilityDevelop and implement strategic sales plans that drive growth and align with overall business objectivesProvide ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development to enhance team performance and drive career progressionUse data to adjust tactics to optimize team strategiesCollaborationWork well with Formcut team members involved in apparel product design and development, factory management, and supply chain logistics to ensure product quality and timely delivery to clientsCoordinate delivery and service with Size Stream's marketing, engineering, ops, and support team
