The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients in the technical and manufacturing sectors. This role will handle inbound inquiries from clients or Outside Sales teams via phone and email. The ideal candidate will possess a customer-first mindset, operate with a sense of urgency, and demonstrate the ability to enhance order profitability through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, end-users, and utilities.Engage with current, future, and past customers via phone, email, and customer visits as directed.Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction.Sales Strategy and Execution:Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products, boosting order profitability.Develop and secure job opportunities by understanding customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.Collaborate with leadership and Outside Sales to create and implement trade area sales strategies.Support customer events, trade shows, and other marketing activities to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.Operational Coordination:Ensure customer transactions are accurately processed by working closely with internal departments.Prepare and follow up on quotes to meet weekly and monthly goals, maintaining accuracy in the company database.Schedule services with customers and the field service team, ensuring all necessary preparations and clear communication of job details.For designated locations, perform site visits and job walk-throughs to create competitive and profitable quotes for presentation to clients.Project and Account Management:Monitor and update the status of projects, providing regular updates to customers and internal teams.Conduct customer communications in a professional, service-oriented manner and identify opportunities to expand project scopes or negotiate additional charges.Administrative Duties:Input quotes and orders into the company database promptly and accurately.Meet or exceed monthly budget goals.Provide frequent updates to the operations team and ensure seamless execution of tasks.Additional Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned to support business objectives.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation and Experience:Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.At least 2 years of related experience, preferably in the electrical industry or business-to-business sales.Skills and Competencies:Strong negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and teams.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.Technical Proficiency:Strong computer and data entry skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite is an advantage.This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven and customer-focused individual to contribute to a dynamic team and grow within a supportive, results-oriented environment.
