The ideal team members have at least 3 years of plaintiff's personal injury experience and experience handling a large case load. This is a fast-paced and high-volume position.Paralegal Responsibilities:Interacts with the client regularly (at least once every 45 days) to ensure the client is kept abreast of events and is informed of case progressHandles client inquiries about case status or refers legal questions to the associate attorney assigned to the caseHandling cases from inception to trial andor resolutionDrafts basic discovery demandsresponses and other form pleadings and documentsPerforms the electronic filing and service of pleadingsResponsible for ensuring compliance with Court Orders, discovery deadlines and Statutes of LimitationsPreparesresponds to correspondence to and from clients, insurance carriers, providers, etc.Requesting, following up on and reviewing medical recordsMaintains utmost professional standards towards the Firm and its clientsDemonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improvedParalegal Requirements:Prior law firm experience in a litigation paralegal position requiredKnowledge of the litigation processExperience with writing & reviewing discovery, motions, and other legal documentsKnowledge of the Court's electronic filing systemsStrong customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsHighly organized, efficient and proactive with an attention to detailExperience using SmartAdvocate a plus, but not requiredSchedule: Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM or 8AM to 4PMBilingual, preferably Spanish, is a plus but is not requiredBenefits:401(k)Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceParental LeaveGenerous PTO package
