The Commercial Property Electrician is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the operation of facilities, ensuring safety, comfort, and functionality. Key duties include managing the facilities team, coordinating tasks, performing repairs, and maintaining physical assets throughout the campus. The CPE ensures compliance with state inspectors, company policies, and procedures. The CPE manages and supervises budgets, operational expenses, and vendor partners. The role requires strong technical skills, including a strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as the ability to lead and train the engineering staff.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently while also transitioning seamlessly into a collaborative team environment. They should demonstrate adaptability and the ability to support or coordinate with other trades, embracing a versatile, "˜jack-of-all-trades' mindset." The position involves daily maintenance tasks, such as repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance, as well as overseeing facility-related expenses. The CPE must maintain effective communication with staff, vendors, and other departments, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Physical demands may include manual labor, lifting objects, and working in various environmental conditions. Required qualifications include a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant electrical and building maintenance experience, relevant technical training, proficiency with tools, and commercial building systems. The CPE must be able to manage a diverse workload and handle emergency situations in a calm and supportive manner while fostering a safe work environment.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with associates, vendors, and suppliers.Professionally represents Jackson Healthcare when engaging and negotiating with vendors and suppliers for services and productsMaintains ethical and productive relationships with suppliers and vendors.Obtains and conveys information as needed for successful completion of tasks.Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management.Assists and supports Jackson Healthcare campus as forms managers of any new or updated sources of supplies, materials, equipment, and services including those with new prices and savings pletes required reports and documentation.Provides strategic leadership, management, and supervision of personnel in the Facilities Engineering Department to ensure efficient and effective operations.Develops training opportunities to ensure the engineering staff is current on all policies, procedures, and guidelines.Assists in creating and developing policies and procedure to resolve recurring issues.Performs annual performance reviews of direct reports.Approves PTO requests of direct reports and assumes responsibility of providing and scheduling coverage.Schedules daily activities for department and prioritizes tasks.QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:High school graduate or equivalentAssociate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferredMinimum of eight (8) years of experience in commercial building operations or equivalent combination of education and experienceEight (8) years of related engineering and maintenance experience. Technical training in HVAC,electrical and plumbingValid driver's license requiredState electrical licenses preferredICC Electrical Inspectors Certification (Active)ICC Electrical Plans Examiner Certification (Active)Electrical Journeyman License State of Georgia (Active)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Eight (8) years related work experience in electrical, mechanical and life safety systemsWorking knowledge of commercial constructionThorough understanding of the use of hand and power tools; following printed and communicated instructions, procedures, and processes; the use of resources for researching information relevant to the performance of the assigned duties to expedite repairs; find options to fulfill the requirements of tasks.Must be able to diagnose equipment problems, make repairs, test equipment, and properly maintain records.Able to operate and work in extreme temperatures and heights, including aerial lifts and ladders; work with and maintain hand tools in a safe manner; use and understand all meterstest equipment related to electrical maintenance; read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawing charts and technical instructions; understand and comply with building, electrical, fire, and plumbing codes and other technical standards and specifications as required; safely handle, dispose of, and document chemical inventoryAbility to adapt to changing work environments; build upon existing knowledge in technical application of maintenance work; handle multiple tasks to meet assigned deadlinesManages competing demands and ability to adjust to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected eventsExcellent supervisory and leadership skillsAbility to work independentlyRelates well to individuals inside and outside of organizationEffective communication and negotiation skillsAbility to plan effectively.Willingness to assist othersProficiency with Microsoft Office products
