A global entertainment organization seeks a Network Engineer to join the team responsible for managing the network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and scalability. This is a hybrid role at the client's new state-of-the-art facilities in NYC requiring occasional on-call weekends.Responsibilities will include: Design, deploy, and configure network infrastructure using Arista and Cisco switches, routers, and firewallsImplement and maintain BGP configurations, including route propagation, filtering, and troubleshootingMonitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure high availability and performanceCollaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and develop network solutions that align with business needsPerform network capacity planning and recommend enhancements to support business growthConduct network security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect against potential threatsAssist in the evaluation and selection of networking technologies and equipmentProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineersQualified applicants should have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience in configuring, designing, and troubleshooting security technology policiesfirewalls: Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper SRX, Arista and configure, administer, deploy, documenting processes and procedures.Knowledge of large-scale Firewall security & Network implementations; like but not limited to PanoramaExpeditionCloud VisionConfiguration and deployment of firewall (Palo Alto) security policies, Global Protect VPN, URL filtering, Data filtering and file blocking profiles.Strong expertise in BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) configuration, troubleshooting, and optimizationSolid understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCPIP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNsNice to have:Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Arista Certified Engineering (ACE) are highly desirable.Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologiesWhy work for this firm: This is an opportunity to join a global sports and entertainment organization offering:Medical Dental Vision insurance effective on the date of hire401K Plan and Defined Contribution Pension PlanAnnual BonusGenerous PTO policyCommuter Benefit ProgramPaid Company HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program
