Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionThe Director of the MOSAIC Pathways Program will be responsible for spearheading implementation of MOSAIC, a system-wide initiative to increase clinician diversity at NYC Health + Hospitals. Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer and the Senior Director of Quality & Safety, the Director will manage the day-to-day operations of developing and rolling out several programs, including elective rotationsprogramming for external medical students and residents, career days for middle and high school students, and recruitment initiatives for medical professionals who have graduated from their training programs. The Director's responsibilities will include creating project plans and ensuring deliverables are met, managing programming logistics and budget and assisting with partnership development and fundraising. Under direction, administers activities and programs assigned to a group of Health Care Program Planner Analysts or related personnel. Plans, initiates, monitors and directs studies and analysis to those problems critical to the delivery of health care by the Corporation. Coordinates planning and implementing activities.GENERAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Manage all aspects of MOSAIC pathways programming Develop and manage project management plans, including key deliverables and timeframes, across multiple programsServe as the lead for the Visiting Scholars Program, including managing recruitmentselection of external medical students and residents, coordinating program logistics, evaluating success and scaling programTrack project performance to ensue team on tasks and ensuring completion of short- and long-term goals Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout the duration of projects, escalating program risks where applicable Document and follow-up on key points and next steps from meetings Liaise with various levels of leadership at central office and within each facility and service, clinicians, and non-clinical staff to support quality improvement capacity building activitiesEstablish and nurture strong working relationships with central office, facility leadership, and other stakeholders Minimum Qualifications1. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public, Hospital or Business Administration, Health Care Specialization, Engineering, Social Services or a related discipline; and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience relating to health care program planning, research, design, operations, evaluation and analysis, one (1) year of which must have been in supervision or planning andor analysis; or2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in #1 above; and five (5) years of progressively, responsible experience relating to health care program planning, research, design, operations, evaluation and analysis, one (1) year of which must have been in supervision or planning andor analysis; or3. A satisfactorily equivalent combination of education and experience, in which 30 graduate-level semester credits from an accredited college or university can be substituted for one year of experience.
