Morrow-Meadows Corporation is accepting applications for a full-time Senior Estimator for its Electrical Division in Poway, CA.Responsibilities:Analyze electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and other documents to prepare detailed estimates utilizing current estimating softwareManage large andor multiple project estimates independentlyStrategize with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to formulate estimatesLead a team of junior estimators on a project pursuitBuild strong relationships with customers, attend, and coordinate social functions as requiredWork with the Business Development Manager, visit clients, and assist with business promotions (including events that take place outside normal business hours)Prepare detailed proposals and bid forms as required by our customersReview estimates and proposal letter with Chief Estimator before submissionSupport preconstruction team with cost estimates in design pursuitsPrepare updated budgets for awarded preconstruction projectsReview contracts on awarded jobs and assure the contracts include our exclusions, clarifications, and reflect proposal scopeSee that all RFP documents, quotes, other pertinent estimating documents are properly filed and always organizedAssist with negotiating prices and purchases as necessaryOrganize and lead kick offhand off meetings on awarded projectsPrepare and submit pre-bid RFI's and maintain logIdentify qualified supplierssubcontractors, solicit quotes, and review for completenessParticipate in job walks and pre-bid meetingsProvide value engineering and cost alternatives as necessaryParticipate in post-bid interview preparation and attend post-bid interview with clients to review estimatesParticipate in current technology training to assure estimating at maximum efficiency and accuracyParticipate in LEAN, DBIA, etc. training as requiredTrain and mentor junior estimating staff as necessaryRequirements:Minimum 5-7 years' experience in the electrical construction industryPrevious estimating experience required including projects up to $15 million in electrical valueStrong electrical knowledge in commercial construction including low voltage systemsProficient in Microsoft Office, Estimating Systems (ACCUBID Preferred), and BluebeamCustomer focusedStrong leadership and managerial skillsTeam oriented and able to work well with othersDetail oriented and organizedStrong communications skillsAbility to juggle multiple tasks at the same timeAbility to work with tight schedulesdeadlinesElectrical engineering familiarity preferredAbility to work late when necessaryFamiliarity with the electric codeBenefits:Competitive compensation packagesMedical and Dental BenefitsBasic Life InsuranceLong Term Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountWellness Program401-K Plan that matches up to $5,000 per employee annually8 paid holidaysYour birthday as a paid holiday3-4 weeks paid vacationpersonal time off depending on years of employmentMorrow-Meadows Corporation provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.The salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $185,000.
