Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves a variety of tasks, including responding to requests, setting up and maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the facility.Onsite in Whippany, NJMon - Friday 8am-4:30pm4-6+ month contract$26.50hourKey Responsibilities:- Respond promptly to various requests from users- Set up and take down audiovisual and furniture for meetings and events- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the building and grounds- Assist with repairs and preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, MHE, warewash, and general facility equipment- Utilize power tools and testing equipment effectively- Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to safety procedures and reporting any safety hazards- Assist with HVAC and related equipment repairs and preventive maintenance- Maintain parts inventory and order required materials as needed- Test and inspect all emergency and life safety systems to meet NFPA, OSHA, and all agency standardsQualifications:- High school graduate with technicalvocational training in related fields- 8 to 10 years of experience in related fields- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Projects- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral- Self-motivated and customer service oriented- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of PLC and ability to use electronic testing equipment, hand and power tools- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals- Leadership skills to foster a team atmosphere- Experience with various types of lifts: Skyjack lift, material-handling equipment such as forklift and hand pallet truck- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus- Someone dependable- Knows how to use a hammer and screwdriver- Mechanically inclined- Looking for career longevity on resumes- Light maintenance work- Painting- Light plumbing- Light sheetrock workJoin our client's team and contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.
