About the Position: Schlam Stone & Dolan, LLP is searching for an Experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal for a hybrid, full time schedule at their financial district office. Candidates shall have 3 - 4 years of complex commercial litigation experience or in a similar litigation experience supporting a legal team. Please send your resume and cover letter in pdf format through LinkedIn's application process.The duties include preparing exhibits, assembling binders, proof reading and formatting briefs and other legal documents, managing case documents, Table of Contents and Table of Authorities, legal research, efiling on NYSCEF and PACER, discovery preparation, bates-stamping and producing discovery documents, assisting with subpoenas, calendaring court dates, trial preparation, etc. The successful candidate will work under the Paralegal Manager as part of the paralegal team. Requirements: Experience performing e-filing at the state and federal levelAssists in trial preparation for multiple partners and Associates, including creating electronic and hardcopy files for court - pulling exhibitsExperience with Trial Director a pluseDiscovery experience. Familiarity with Relativity and Westlaw a plus.3 - 4 years of general complex commercial litigation background or similar (no personal injury law)Experience with Microsoft Word (advanced) and ExcelExperience with Adobe Pro (advanced)Table of contents and table of authoritiesCoordinate depositionsPrepare and coordinate service documentsAdaptability and resourcefulness.Have good judgmentBoutique law firm preference vs. big lawTeamwork mentalityTravel may be required for trials.
