MBA Consulting Services (MBA CSi) is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager - Regional Modernization and Construction to support our government customer in Johnson City, TN. This critical role will focus on managing major construction and renovation projects for Local Processing Centers (LPCs) as part of a large-scale infrastructure modernization effort for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).As the Project Manager of Major Construction, you will lead efforts to optimize LPC operations that are key to modernizing the USPS mail and package delivery network. The new LPCs will play a vital role by:Sorting flat and letter mail for efficient local delivery routes.Acting as collection points for packages en route to delivery.Reducing transit times and processing costs through strategic positioning near Regional Processing and Distribution Centers (RPDCs).Some LPCs will be co-located within RPDCs, enhancing efficiency and cutting transportation costs. Distances between LPCs and their RPDCs will vary from 20 to 200 miles, offering a range of challenges and opportunities for strategic this role, you'll work on-site alongside the Manager of Modernization Implementation, becoming an essential contributor to the USPS's infrastructure transformation.ResponsibilitiesOversee and direct construction management for larger or more complex construction projectsCommunicate directly with contractorsdesigners concerning project cost, staffing, and schedulingPrepare project status reports and work to ensure plans adhere to contract specificationsFamiliar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and proceduresRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms a variety of tasksLead and direct the work of othersA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedTypically reports to top management Basic RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, but a degree in any technical discipline is acceptable7+ years of project management with IT experience in the field of major constructionbuilding renovation Proficiency developing and maintaining POA&Ms in MS ProjectExperience developing and maintaining PERT chartsMS Office Suite, specifically Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.Ability to travel and work flexible hours when neededMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug testAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearanceMBA Consulting Services, Inc.
