Summary:This position is placed within the Advisory group of the Financial Security team. The position's main responsibilities are centered on the following: reviewing and validating high risk KYC files, and providing AML andor sanctions related guidance to the Bank's staff on proposed transactions. Heshe is expected to have knowledge of current anti-money laundering regulations, policies and requirements as per the Bank Secrecy Act, and the USA Patriot Act.Key Responsibilities:Review and validation of High Risk KYC files to ensure completeness and compliance with Bank policies and Regulatory Requirements.Review and issue regulatory guidance to Bank staff on proposed activities and transactions.Assist with the analysis of updates in regulations andor policies to ensure that the Bank is compliant with US regulations, as well as the Bank's policies and procedures.Assist with the implementation of any new requirements that come as a result of new regulations or policies and procedures.Provide guidance to Front Office and Support staff on AML specific queries concerning proposed customers andor transactions.Assist with analysis of data for the Bank's BSAAML and OFAC Risk Assessments.Management and Reporting:The position reports directly to the Head of Advisory - Financial Security.Key Internal Contacts:The employee will most likely interact on a regular basis with the Client On Boarding group, Front Office personnel, Head Office Compliance personnel, and IT support.Key External Contacts:The employee may have occasion to interact with external auditors andor regulators during exams.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSQualificationsEducation Required:College DegreeExperience Required:5-10 yearsCAMS Certification preferredCompetencies:Knowledge of US AML and OFAC regulationsKnowledge of International AML and Sanctions regulations preferredSkills & Knowledge Requirements desired:IT Knowledge of Payment systemsIT Knowledge of AML tools
