Here are the details.APPLICATION PROCEDURESPlease email cover letter and resume to ; use "Major Gifts Officer" in the subject line.POSITION SUMMARYOur Major Gifts Officer, a key member of the Development & Fundraising team, is primarily responsible for managing ACT's major gifts program, which is a significant portion of ACT's annual funding. This includes researching potential donors and developing pitch strategies, managing the grant application process, and stewarding donor relationships. They also serve as a key point of contact and collaboration with ACT's international offices.Key Responsibilities:Donor ManagementDevelop and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individualsCultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective major donorsImplement strategies to retain and upgrade existing donorsOrganize and manage 3-4 small-scale fundraising annually events as appropriateFundraisingSecure significant funds through major gift prospect cultivation and solicitationSupport and staff as needed fundraising work and related activities of ACT's foundersMeet annual fundraising goals set by the organizationCollaborate with others on development team to identify and pursue new funding opportunitiesReporting and CommunicationEnsure grant reports are consistent with past reports and long-term objectivesSupport preparation and submission of reports in accordance with grant specifications and donor requirementsContribute to proposal writing and other fundraising communications as neededQualifications:Experience and SkillsProven track record in major gift fundraising, preferably in the international environmental or conservation sectorStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office suiteEducationBachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a related field preferredCompetenciesMastery of spoken and written English.
