About the Company - Insight Global's Managed Service Division, Evergreen is looking for a Project Manager to sit in Northern California. You will be supporting one of the largest Utility companies Infrastructure groups. This is a long-term project replacing legacy infrastructure for microwave and fiber optic systems around the entire NorCal region. They have around 70 microwave communication sites and 100's of fiber and nodes.About the Role - The first project will be SONET replacement. You will provide PM services in support of our field engineer for the installation of Nokia 7705 router andor 7705 networking equipment, and Microsemi TP4100 clock equipment (if needed) across 9 sites in Northern California. This is a W2 contract role starting at 6 months + extensions.ResponsibilitiesProvide PM services for SONET replacement projectSupport field engineer for installation of networking equipmentWork on infrastructure replacement for microwave and fiber optic systems Qualifications Strong fiber deployment andor fiber engineeringconstruction background5+ yrs as a project manager overseeing Telecom andor communications infrastructure projects ( construction and deployment) Comfortable with travel throughout Central & Northern CA for site visits Strong documentation skillsExpertise with MS Suite ( SAP is helpful) Fiber Deployment Fiber engineering experience a plus PG&E or utility experience a plus
