Hintze Law seeks a senior privacy attorney to join our growing team.Searching for a skilled privacy lawyer to join our unique, collegial, high-caliber, AI, privacy, and data security team.Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in U.S. and EU privacy and data security compliance andor transactions. A high level of comfort and interest in technology is required. Ideal candidates will have a combination of in-house and law firm experience including in several of the following areas:Drafting and negotiating data protection agreementsDeveloping and implementing privacy programsConducting AI & data protection impactrisk assessmentsReviewing products and systems for Privacy by Design and privacy assessmentsData security breach preparedness and responsePreparing responses and document production for regulatory investigationsProviding counseling and response to privacy and data security due diligenceResearching, understanding, and applying AI, privacy, and data security laws, including EU AI Act; State AI Privacy and Security Laws; advertising privacy laws; GDPR; FTC Act; COPPA; GLBA; VPPA; CAN-SPAM; TCPA; and HIPAASpecific experience with advertising FERPA and children's privacy laws, including COPPA and age-appropriate design codes is a plusRegulatory response or investigations experience (such as FTC, state regulator, etc.) are a plusCIPP certification is also preferred. You must be a U.S. licensed attorney with a J.D. or LLM.Successful candidates will also be professional, practical, resourceful, business minded, capable of working independently, and with a collaborative workstyle and positive people skills. Some limited travel to in-person client locations, meetings, and conferences may be required.We are a unique and non-traditional firm, focusing on high-quality work while embracing a non-formal but inclusive and collegial culture.
