Job Title: CT Technologist (Contract) Location: NYC, NY 10025 Duration: 3 Months Schedule: Hours Per Week: 40 Days Per Week: 3 Shift Details: Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 AM - 4:00 PM Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves performing high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with department protocols and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce diagnostic-quality CT images. Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality prior to patient use. Administer radioactive materials to patients as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols. Maintain accurate department documentation, including logs, manuals, charge records, and equipment issue reports, in compliance with regulatory standards. Perform quality control, assurance, and safety tests while following radiation safety guidelines in accordance with the ALARA principle. Develop, maintain, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation. Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to their use. Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries, ensuring proper receipt and activity levels before administration. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Licensing & Certifications: Licensed Radiologic Technologist (NYS DOH) ARRT certification in Radiography and CT BLS Certification Experience: Minimum of 1 year of CT experience. Skills: Ability to perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols, exercise sound judgment, and effectively address patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures. Language: Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing).
