THE JOB / Senior Event Executive, Golf Hospitality (Luxury Automotive Client) EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs. ***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA.*** We are seeking a Senior Event Executive to support the client's premium hospitality programs across the golf landscape. This role is part of a larger team that handles the client's many partnerships across the golf industry including title sponsorship of a PGA TOUR event, strategic media partners, and brand activations with other golf-related entities. The Senior Event Executive will work closely with the Hospitality Manager and Experiential Director to position the client's brand as best-in-class within the sport. This role presents an opportunity to support a robust hospitality program across multiple events and grow a network of connections within the world of golf. The ideal candidate will have experience in the golf industry and with hosting programs for VIP guests. THE WORK YOU'LL DO Serve as the program lead for select client hosting programs Independently run hotel blocks for hosting programs and/or event staff Accurately handle ticket assets, credentialing, and hosting packages by maintaining an up-to-date tracker Manage ticket distribution with support from trainees and temporary staff Develop and manage guest registration websites in collaboration with a third-party vendor Support the Hospitality Manager by handling itineraries, creating program documents and invitations, and managing transportation manifests Lead gifting and staff uniform procurement for all golf programming, becoming a guide in the client's Corporate Identity guidelines for merchandise and managing existing inventory Keep a pulse on golf industry trends and marketing tactics Support the development of creative assets and consumer communications Use problem solving skills to address client challenges with impactful solutions Support weekly status calls and other key meetings with both internal and external constituents Serve as a trusted and reliable agency contact for clients, internal colleagues, and brand partners Supervision of temporary staff and trainee positions THE BIGGER TEAM YOU'LL JOIN Recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work in Sports", Octagon is the global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing arm of the Interpublic Group. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR 2-4 years of marketing/sponsorship experience Experience with professional/amateur golf and/or hospitality programming Passionate to make an overall account contribution with new partnerships and projects Excellent communication, writing, and client service skills Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%) This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
