About the job: Overview: The Indirect Lending Credit Analyst will be responsible for conducting careful risk analysis on loans and exercise judgement based on experience to approve or deny loan files ensuring that they meet the various loan program requirements. With limited supervision, effective and comprehensively research, analyze and underwrite applications for consumer loans. Responsible for building member and dealership relationships by cross selling MCU's products and services. Responsibilities : Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Evaluates auto loan applications submitted by dealerships and makes credit decisions within lending authority and in accordance with internal policies and procedures, as well as, federal and state regulations. Manage credit risk and quality of loan portfolio by utilizing strong attention to detail and applying thorough analysis and independent judgement on decisions of presented loan applications while complying with MCU's credit policies and procedures. Works under limited supervision; acquires and applies intermediate knowledge of the business, its products and processes. Uses established procedures and significant job experiences to perform work assignments and problem resolution. Utilize underwriting skills to capture loan approvals, counter offers and denials, while effectively maintaining positive dealer relationships when decisioning credit applications. Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with dealership personnel via telephone and electronic correspondence. Represent and sell the MCU brand by relaying our commitment to excellent member service and dependability. Evaluates current processes and procedures for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved practices. Maintain expected application efficiency and loan conversion ratios. Analyze application approval trends. Prepare monthly and weekly report on Indirect Lending program as requested. Actively support and promote the MCU Strategic Plan by promoting a unified workforce through a culture of teamwork among peers and help grow our market share through new member acquisition. Work closely with the Indirect team Employ a strong sense of urgency and ownership, and demonstrate a highly professional work ethic in all facets of completing work duties. Adhere to all regulatory compliance training inclusive of BSA/AML/OFAC and overall BSA/AML/OFAC compliance. Perform other duties as required. Requirements : 2-5 years of Indirect Industry experience College education preferred or significant job specific experience Knowledge of indirect lending industry standards Familiar with state and federal regulations concerning lending Ability to work evenings, Saturdays and some holidays as scheduled Competencies : Excellent organization skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
