RKMB LLC is searching for a Technical Designer for immediate start. This is a freelanceposition with the possibility of becoming full-time with the right candidate. We are in search of aseasoned full time Mid-level to Senior Technical Designer who has a strong knowledge andunderstanding of garment construction for the Women's Contemporary market. The roleincludes overseeing the fit process from design to production to include PPs and TOPs,generating very clear measurements of each fit, according to the tech pack, and working closelywith our designproduction departments. ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Design team to develop initial technical garment specifications based on design tech packs.Work meticulously on all fit comments to provide details to the factory on a timely manner.Manage all aspects of fittings, construction and technical issues, and product evaluations. Edit tech packs to clearly communicate fitpattern changes and corrections to the factories.Act as the point of contact for factories and answer questions regarding fit, specs, pattern, and construction. Maintains professional and timely daily email correspondence with overseas vendors.Executes fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the fit process stays in line with production and action timelines while partnering with the Production team on lead time priorities, where applicable.Issues grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval. Responsible for reviewing pre-production samples (PPs) and top of production samples (TOPs) for adherence to approved fit and construction standards and executes comments as needed to complete the PP approval process and move the process forward to production. Tracks and manages workflow and workloadMust be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Must be detail oriented with excellent communication sending comments to nominated factories.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Fashion DesignTechnical DesignPattern MakingMinimum 7-10 years' experience in the apparel industry including patternmaking and construction experience with full knowledge of the production process.Excellent organizational skillsStrong understanding of manufacturing and product development processExpert in pattern-making, sewing, and garment constructionMicrosoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Illustrator experience.Fully Fashioned Knit experience a plusThis job is a full-time position, 4x days in office. Must be eligible to work in US without additional sponsorshipvisa requirements.
