The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist t o provide intervention and evaluation of gross motor delays and disorders to those children who are identified to be in need of physical therapy services. Candidate is expected to demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. Oneida & Lewis County Responsibilities: Facilitate opportunities for open communication between and among staff, families and people we support. Completes initial evaluations to determine eligibility and annual evaluations of children that are currently on caseload. Provides direct physical therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician's caseload. Completes and maintains all required documentation, both in electronic and paper format. Demonstrates and oversees the carrying out of specific methodologies within the treatment areas. Communicates to the Clinical Services Manager regarding physical therapy supplies and equipment that may be needed. Completes monthly billing information on a timely basis, with accurate documentation. Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university. New York State License in Physical Therapy. One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the birth to school-aged population.
