Job Description: Third Federal is seeking candidates for a Default Services Manager position. The Default Department's focus is to keep our Borrower's in their home. In this role, the Default Services Manager will be responsible for guiding and directing a team of Legal and Special Servicing Associates in providing excellent Customer Service while protecting the financial interests of Third Federal. The role will involve mentoring and developing Associates and working with fellow Loan Services Managers to provide a collaborative team environment. The Legal team is responsible for foreclosure and bankruptcy support, interacting with outside legal counsel, preparing bidding instructions for foreclosure sales, and the preparation of reinstatement figures, payoff figures and letters. The Special Servicing team is responsible for preparing loan modifications, deferral and payment plans, supporting short sales, mortgage releases, property preservations and real estate owned. Duties and Responsibilities may include: Exemplify and promote Third Federal's values and culture of Love (Genuine Concern for Others), Trust, Respect, Commitment to Excellence and Fun Prepare and conduct associate assessments Partner with associates and advocate for their career development Review and analyze reports relating to default rates Review of team member's work for completeness Prepare documentation for internal and external audits Prioritize department projects Promote knowledge sharing and work on process improvement initiatives Conduct and organize department meetings and trainings Manage vendor relationships Required Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of mortgage lending default experience Experience in mortgage loss mitigation Detailed understanding of FNMA servicing guidelines Understanding of U.S. bankruptcy rules, regulations and documents Experience working with legal counsel to support bankruptcy, foreclosure and other legal matters Ability to navigate situations, make decisions and understand Customer and Associate impact Ability to prioritize work and maintain productivity under deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal/customer service skills; including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers Attention to detail with effective research and analytical skills Strong leadership and management skills. The ability to set expectations, motivate, coach and provide necessary, constructive feedback.
