Helen Keller is seeking aFundraising Systems Associate to support the External Relations mandate to raise funds and increase the visibility of Helen Keller's programs by supporting the integrity of our donor database systems. The Associate will update the donor database and perform related operational tasks to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing to support the goals of the organization. The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker with an eye to detail. We're looking for an analytical problem solver with a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Reporting to the Fundraising Systems Administrator, this position works closely with multiple units within the External Relations team, and interface with other internal teams and service vendors. The department is structured in such a way that the work of each unit reinforces the work of every other unit. Regular communication and a spirit of teamwork among colleagues, both hierarchically and laterally, are essential to make this structure thrive. Key Responsibilities Execute routine updates and improvements for both our donor database of record, Raiser's Edge NXT, and our online fundraising and marketing tool Luminate Online. Run routine quality control queries to maintain clean and accurate data on donor and gift records; update and develop regularly scheduled data hygiene processes (including regular duplicate record review / merges). Conduct frequent information transfers (imports / exports) for in-house teams in addition to multiple vendors and platforms used for reporting, analytics, donor segmentation and cultivation efforts. Create mailing and email lists, including segments and suppressions for external outreach. Review reports generated by others for accuracy. Create and execute queries and exports for mailing and email list management: review standard list pulls; and develop more complex, segmented mailings. Review and support systems integration between Luminate Online, Fundraise Up, and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, (as well as any future platforms we introduce): build new appeal codes; map donation forms; and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Complete regularly scheduled mass file updates for NCOA and other data updates. Act as a database power-user: propose improvements to processes and make recommendations to take advantage of database features. Provide technical guidance and support to department staff; advise on best practices for fundraising systems, processes, and data capture. Interact with team members using departmental task and project management software (i.e. Asana and Basecamp). Create and update protocols for all processes under your purview. Back-up other functions in the Development Operations team, and special projects as needed and assigned. Required Qualifications and Competencies Familiarity with Raiser's Edge/RENXT, Luminate, and/or Fundraise Up a bonus. Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues and vendors and work well within a team environment. Accuracy and attention to detail a must; sensitivity when working with highly confidential information and ability to maintain complete discretion at all times; must adhere to Donor Bill of Rights. Proven ability to plan and manage a variety of tasks and high work volume: must work well under pressure, prioritize, meet strict deadlines plus show flexibility, and solve problems creatively. Excellent computer skills and aptitude to learn and adapt are essential. Solid Excel skills and experience with databases including query, export, and import tools. Demonstrated aptitude for analyzing and interpreting data and systems: ability to identify areas to increase efficiency a plus. Education and Experience College degree plus a minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a fundraising, development operations, advancement services, customer service or related field, particularly in a nonprofit environment. Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is required. Compensation The minimum salary range for this position is $ 61,670, with a midpoint of $74,000 and a maximum of $83,330. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, and professional specialty.
