Location: Phoenix, AZ Industry: Fast-Growing, Mission-Driven Business Compensation: $131,000 - $150,000 Per Year About the Opportunity: One of Phoenixs leading employers is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join our dynamic leadership team. This critical role offers the chance to lead a high-impact People Operations Department in a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic leader and cultural ambassador, driving workforce solutions and advancing our mission of becoming an employer of choice and a Great Place to Work. Key Responsibilities: Recruiting & Retention: Lead company-wide efforts in recruiting, hiring, and employee retention. Partner with multi-state site leaders to address unique workforce needs. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Review and adapt policies to align with best practices. People Operations Leadership: Oversee a diverse team, including Learning & Development, Benefits Administration, and Talent Acquisition. Provide mentorship and inspire excellence within the team. Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and strategy. HR Administration: Manage all facets of People Operations, including performance management, benefits/leave administration, compensation, and employee relations. Lead investigations, coaching, and office administration. Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of positive engagement and collaboration. Lead efforts to measure and improve employee satisfaction and promote engagement in daily operations. Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Champion initiatives that advance equity, diversity, and inclusion across the company. What You Bring: We are looking for a strategic and hands-on leader with a passion for people and organizational success. The ideal candidate will possess: Experience: Minimum of 8 years leading HR in a multi-state organization. Education: Bachelors degree strongly preferred. Leadership Skills: Strong supervisory abilities and emotional intelligence to engage with diverse teams effectively. Adaptability: A can-do attitude with the willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges head-on. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and manage projects to successful completion. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in HRIS, ATS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations across multiple states.
