Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the OpenLab Manager, the OpenLab Digital Outreach and Technical Assistant/College Assistant supports the CUNY SPS OpenLab project by providing technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff members using the platform. The OpenLab Digital Outreach and Technical Assistant/College Assistant will also: Provide technical support and platform troubleshooting services related to the OpenLab Respond to student and faculty inquiries related to the CUNY SPS OpenLab Assist students with OpenLab project development through virtual and training sessions Assist with the development and delivery of training with a variety of delivery methods Assist with the planning and carrying out of events tied to the CUNY SPS OpenLab project Assist in the development and maintenance of support resources, including web content, manuals and how-to-guides Maintain records of inquiries, support services, and other program-related activities Assist in the development of usage and other outcome reports Perform research on software updates, plugin functionality and compatibility, and ability to effectively summarize findings Perform other duties as assigned Preferred Minimum: High school diploma/GED Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree or higher Experience with web development tools and software, including WordPress, HTML, CSS Comfort with technology, web-based platforms, and the ability to upskill quickly Experience providing technology support Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience creating and editing multimedia (e.g., recording presentations, editing videos, annotating, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail, results, and solutions-oriented Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
