Controls EngineerEngineerIII - Controls EngineerThisposition is responsible for supporting and enhancing brewery operations througha strong understanding and improvement mindset of the various control systems.EssentialDuties:Support PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation,robotics, and other control systemsPLCs - Rockwell preferredSCADA - AVEVA System PlatformpreferredRobots - Fanuc preferredVariable Frequency Drives -Powerflex preferredInstrumentation -Endress-Hauser preferredSubject matter expert for PLCsand SCADA systems; advisor and mentor to other engineers and maintenancepersonnelExecute process improvementinitiatives from process analysis through programming and commissioningDesign and execute programmingfor PLCs in brewing, packaging, and utilitiesCreate and manage HMI screensand develop interfaces for MES and other production dataDevelop and maintain SCADAobjects and graphics to enhance HMI experience and streamline datamanagementManage controls serversincluding HMI, IO, historian, MES, engineering stations, etc. Ensure bothOS and controls software is up to date and securePlans and designs methods toimprove production processesReviews existing processes anddevelops solutions to increase productivity or reduce costsPerforms engineering designevaluations and works to complete projects within budget and schedulingrestraints.Reviews industry policies andprocedures to ensure accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.Provides technical support forthe engineering processDevelop, organize, analyze, andpresent results in support of operations or engineering projectsDetermine, implement and/orevaluate effectiveness or correction action to remedy issues; ensuresafety targets are metDevelop experimentation and testmethods and protocol to prove engineering conceptsOther projects and duties asassigned.Education/ Experience/Skills:Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of experience in the field or equivalentKnowledge in brewing and food and beverage engineering practices, brewery and process equipment, process flow, and facility requirementsSolid and proven experience successfully managing projects, contractors, internal and external teams, budgets, scope, and timelineDemonstrated project management/financial management expertise Expert computer skills including engineering applications and project management software including AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel and WordAbility to develop experimentation and test methods and protocol to prove engineering conceptsProven ability to understand and design mechanical systems with a strong working knowledge of process and electrical engineering.Percent of Travel: 10%Working Conditions: Office, Distribution Center, Production Areas, Construction AreasWage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell's and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
