Overview: Manager permit acquisition operation. Obtain overfly and landing permits for Atlas Air and Polar Air. Use FCG (Foreign Clearance Guide) and the Government APACS System (Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System) to secure Government permits for Military pax and cargo operations. Responsibilities: Obtain overfly permits based on the most efficient routes. Manage permit database in flight planning system to ensure 100% permit availability Draft, submit and manage process of acquiring Foreign Operator Certificates as required by various countries Solve multiple routing/permit problems at a time to satisfy requests from various groups in the airline such as marketing, sales, and the operations control center Provide recommendations to solve disruptions in the airline concerning permits Maintain changes/disruptions with aircraft/programs assigned to him Obtain overfly and landing permits for the Atlas Air Worldwide network including Military AMC flying Obtain Government permits using the Government APACS System (Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System). Use FCG (Foreign Clearance Guide) to observe permit lead times and hazardous material guidelines Build and store routes for Dispatch using approved routes including Military arrival and departures routes Obtain and track airport slots Liaise with U.S. Embassy/Military POCs to ensure that all time sensitive permits are observed Ensure all schedule changes, new charters, slot control are effectively monitored, considered and actioned within the permit operation Ensure maximum operational efficiency when utilizing outside vendors for permit acquisition Perform daily permit check to ensure operational certainty for flights operating in the near future Liaise with the System Operations Manager to solve urgent issues on short notice Qualifications: FAA Aircraft Dispatcher required. Pilots license preferred. Special Demands: On call 24/7 Skills: Must possess a detailed knowledge of the company Operations Specifications. Must have the ability to present himself/herself diplomatically with customers/other countries and communicate effectively as a representative of Atlas and Polar Air. Must have complete knowledge of ICAO documents including but not limited to manuals pertaining to Slot request (SSIM), International Rules of the Air, Foreign Clearance Guide and the International Flight Information Manual. Must have the ability to master several projects and/or problems at one time and be able to work extended hours including weekends. Must have a detailed knowledge of the military network including restrictions when aircraft are operating for AMC. Operational awareness 24/7 with ability to travel without notice in the event of an aircraft incident/accident. Salary Range: $85,500- $115,500 Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
