Hiring an Accounting Specialist(7/8 month contract) We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to work closely with various entities within our scope. The ideal candidate will manage month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and support various tax submissions. COM with Questions and give me your resume ** Responsibilities •Partner with Assistant Controller to work closely with entities in scope •Completethe month end and year end close and financial reporting, including reporting to Paris HQ; •Partner with peopleto complete tax submission packages for budget and actual for entities in scope; •Perform bank reconciliation, clearing reconciling items, and assist with process changes to reduce reconciliation issues; •Prepare analysis and reconciliation of accounts related to all assigned areas and companies on a monthly basis. Analyze account activity to identify errors and make corrections and re-classes based on the nature of the account; •Perform analysis and recording of all adjusting entries for proper inventory valuation in accordance with GAAP, including depreciation, losses, and inter-company movements; •Perform the recording of fixed assets, preparing month end reports, and posting month end depreciation; •Support all processes related to managing retail store fixed and variable rent and landlord relationships; •Analyze and reconcile GL accounts related to taxation for entities in scope; •Partner with Accounts Payable and Sales Audit to manage their activity, posting, and timely account with management in these department to streamline and document their processes when appropriate; •Process journal entries and gather supporting documentation for all entries. Perform the analysis behind the journal entries by understanding of the subledger system(s) and the underlying business process or event; •Prepare all supporting schedules in assigned areas of financial reporting; •Assist in the development of new accounting processes as necessary and work to improve existing processes and procedures for greater efficiency and more accurate and timely reporting.Ensure consistency with other company accounting managers; •Assist in external and internal audits as required, including tax audits; •Assist Assistant Controller in other finance functions as needed. Essential Skills B.S. in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred but not required. Minimum 5 years of related experience. Working knowledge of SAP ERP. ( MUST) In-depth experience with complex bank and accounting reconciliations. Knowledge of Inventory and Fixed Asset Accounting. Understanding of GAAP, specifically in a retail environment. Advanced quantitative, analytical, and computer skills, especially in Excel. Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking skills. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Retail industry experience and/or multinational company experience are a plus.
