Senior Operations Manager Allentown, PA On-Site We're looking for an Sr. Operations Manager for a company that contract manufactures over the counter consumer products for home, personal, and beauty care and works with some of the most famous retail brands in their respective industries. Currently they are trying to keep up with orders, production is ramping up, and the company expects 25% growth in 2025. Additionally, there will be amazing growth opportunities as they will be exploring further inroads into automation, collaborative robotics (cobots), and vision systems to enhance overall operations. This is a high-impact role where you will have the opportunity to work alongside the CEO and an impressive, tight-knit production/engineering/manufacturing team to improve efficiencies, including labor, scheduling, tracking and documenting inventory, assessing financial performance, and ensuring that safety and quality protocols align with company targets. Plus youll also get to demonstrate your team management and talent development chops. Responsibilities: Managing maintenance, packaging engineer, production staff and overall plant operations The core focus of of this role is improving operational efficiencies, manufacturing, safety, quality, scheduling, inventory management, financial performance, and team/talent management Assess labor efficiency rates - the actual vs. estimated labor costs across their product line Overseeing/examining mixing operations and compounding to ensure the quality of mixes and the quality of bottle filling, as well as tracking component scrap percentages and the cost of rework Managing inventory for ensure near 100% accuracy of documented usage in production area and conducting monthly audits Establishing strong safety protocols to achieve zero OSHA recordable or lost time injuries in the production area and significantly improving recordable injury incidence rates Managing production costs and finding reductions in unit costs to ensure that the company meets the budget targets Conducting daily meetings and managing two production teams (approx. 70 people) that includes 2 shift supervisors, a production scheduler, a maintenance supervisor, 4-6 compounders and the production line team, all with a focus on talent development and improvements Ensuring that operations are FDA audit-ready Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or other technical subject with a good academic track record Experience managing two shifts - days and afternoons 10+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment with 50+ team members, preferably where consumer/CPG/bottling items are produced Experience with Compounding, Bottling, Packaging, Mixing Operations is ideal FDA experience is ideal as this is an FDA regulated environment Demonstrable career experience highlighting increasing levels of responsibilities Proven experience analyzing financial and operational reports Translatable technical skills to support key production improvements - prior experience with plant automation (or collaborative robotics), visions systems, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing plant is ideal Multi-level management experience, including a track record of increasing responsibility Good understanding of GMP, certification in Lean Six Sigma preferred Comprehension with FDA and OSHA compliance Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness, and organizational aptitude and planning Excellence in training, coaching, developing talent, setting goals/KPIs, scorecards, and tracking performance indicators on a production team Compensation: Base: $110K-140K + Benefits Onsite 5 days a week, 7am-4:30pm OR 9am-5pm (this is flexible)
