Reporting to the Assistant Vice President Branch Manager and assisting in the efficient operation of the branch, the Assistant Branch Manager provides leadership and functions as a working supervisor for teller and member service personnel and assists with their training and development. Guides and directs teller operations and member personnel and assists with their training and development. Responsible for implementing company policies and procedures in relation to teller and member service operations. Supervises balancing and summarizing of daily business and cash. Trains tellers and member service personnel to maintain proper member relations. Ensures compliance with security practices. Plans, organizes and assigns the work flow of the teller and member service area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for branch membership and lending growth through business development. Actively participate in community organizations to develop contacts and growth opportunities. Coordinates deposit, lending, and member service functions in accordance with Addition Financial policies, principles, and procedures. Develops plans and schedules for efficient utilization of employees, resulting in outstanding service delivery. Must be knowledgeable in all phases of branch operations; teller, member service, and loan functions. Must have strong lending background and strong sales focus. Attain branch goals in savings, lending, account relationships, transactions, profitability and cross sell ratios. Processing of consumer loans as required. Assists AVP Branch Manager in supervision and scheduling of staff. Assumes responsibility for branch operations in absence of AVP Branch Manager. Ensures that quality service is consistently provided to all members. Cross-sells credit union products and services, plus coaching of staff on cross-selling techniques. Assists in the resolution of employee or member problems and complaints. Assists in daily and monthly balancing. Must possess strong organizational and team skills. Performs additional duties as required by management. Requirements Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; plus at least three years related experience and/or training at a supervisory level in a financial institution (i.e. Loan Manager, or Member Services Manager) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
