Job Title: Facilities Technician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, masonry, drywall, carpentry, and painting. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing minor plumbing, electrical problems, performing preventative maintenance on various systems, assisting in masonry and roofing repairs, supporting carpentry and drywall work, and conducting painting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of building maintenance and construction, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: Pay rate of $30.00/hour 401k with company match Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave Insurance eligibility begins on 31st day of employment 11 paid holidays Schedule will be M-F, 8 hours, 1st shift with ability to flex to other shifts as needed RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the repair of minor plumbing problems, such as stoppages, fixtures, faucet washers, gaskets, and water heaters. Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures as assigned. Assist in the repair of masonry walls and related applications. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on window and roofing systems. Assist in roof repairs, insulation installation, and other related tasks. Conduct basic maintenance and operations of locking systems for doors, lockers, gates, etc. Support alteration work, including rough carpentry and drywall. Assist in demolition, site cleaning, delivery of supplies, and removal of trash, debris, and packing material. Prepare surfaces using tools of the trade and repair surfaces for treatment. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to walls, trims, shelves, equipment, etc. Apply wall coverings as needed. Demonstrate knowledge of basic building electricity theory and plumbing practices. Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools safely. Utilize computer programs and work order systems effectively. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and others encountered during work. Operate power industrial equipment, such as forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts, as required. And all other duties assigned (ex. utilities, water treatment, all building utilities, etc.) REQUIREMENTS: Three years of experience in commericial building maintenance and construction, including electrical and plumbing. High school diploma or GED Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical, masonry, carpentry, and painting techniques. Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with safe working practices and adherence to safety regulations. Proficiency in basic computer programs and work order systems (e.g., SAP). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships. Physical ability to perform various tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in different weather conditions. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Must be able to work overtime and a flexible schedule when required. It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
