About the Role: As an EHS Specialist in our Durable Goods Manufacturing company located in Mesa, Arizona, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety audits, and providing training to employees. Your ultimate goal will be to create a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. 3+ years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification. Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Responsibilities: Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Provide safety training to employees on a regular basis to promote a culture of safety. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety is integrated into all aspects of the business. Skills: As an EHS Specialist, you will utilize your knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure a safe and healthy work environment. You will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide training to employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your ability to investigate accidents and incidents and develop corrective actions will be critical to maintaining a culture of safety. Additionally, your experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies will be beneficial in identifying and eliminating potential hazards in the workplace.
