The successful candidate will ensure an optimalsupply plan is reached to service the demand stream within the line of businessassigned. The planner is responsible for determining the desired inventorylevels for finished goods and execute a replenishment strategy that supportssupply chain efficiencies. This position reports directly to the SeniorPlanning Manager. Initially, the candidate will temporarilysupport purchasing activities. Job Description: Measure and Analyze Performance: Measure, analyze and report on In Full-Service levels and Inventory/Working Capital metrics and expected inventory changes. Identify what is out of tolerance to adjust and improve ongoing performance. Communicate to appropriate parties identified issues that will have a material business impact. Monitor historical performance, identify issues and trends. Review, align, and adjust planning, and inventory strategies as needed. Participate in the development and deployment of new Key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure best results are delivered that continue to align with overall corporate objectives. Maintain System Health: Evaluate and update planning parameters (stocked vs nonstock, safety stock, MOQ, etc.) periodically to optimize ordering and inventory management processes. Analyze the accuracy of input data and supply plan output to ensure optimal system performance. Identify items, customers, and categories that due to constraints or other issues will be out of tolerance and need to be reviewed during the monthly supply review. Planning andInventory Management Activities: Manage and oversee the planning processes and systems for the assigned area of responsibility. Ensure continuous supply at the designated DC/warehouse sites with focus on achieving optimal turns and working capital targets while maintaining superior service levels for our customers, minimizing age, obsolescence, and write-offs. Firm planned orders in the MRP/ERP system (if applicable). Develop and manage inventory build strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with demand forecasts and customer needs. Manage inventory levels in accordance with aligned stocking policy strategy. Identify items where stocking policy may need to change due to changes in usage or other factors where item behavior no longer fits current stocking set up. For allocated products, Collaborate with IMMs/Buyers to manage allocation requests to ensure equitable distribution to all approved customers. Manage the E&O (Excess and Obsolete) process and discontinued inventory by creating run out reports and depletion plan. Present findings to key stakeholders. In collaboration with operational teams, optimize replenishment, supply, and ordering strategies to generate operational efficiencies. Based on set strategy and criteria, manage approved exceptions and rush orders. Provide Insights and Analytics on Performance, Risk,and Constraints to Cross-functional Partners: Provide expected vendor usage forecasts as required to Product Managers. Identify and advise cross-functional team on inventory issues that are likely to contribute to service or E&O issues. Act as first point of contact for service issues driven by inventory or supply disruptions. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to improve communication flow and reduce risk. Work closely with IMM partners on constraints and collaboratively to develop supply solutions. Provide data and content to the Supply Review on owned categories. Present as necessary. Supplier Management and Performance: Identify items to be returned to vendors - Slow moving only & notify Purchasing. Review incremental inventory requests / approvals from CS. Coordinate internal warehouse transfers driven by distribution and fulfillment needs and high MOQs. Drive Continuous Improvement and Cross-functionalCollaboration: Implement and execute a structured launch program of supply chain strategies developed by supply chain manager and VP - Operation to optimize planning, network operations, and company performance metrics. Participate in the development of future enhancements to principal planning system and SIOP and Supply Review processes to drive ongoing continuous improvement. Participate in the development and building of Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and cross-functional reports and analytic tools to increase visibility, communication, and business management. YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure. Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers and software packages, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, both written and verbal and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Relevant experience preferred.
