Account Manager Department: Client Services Employment Type: Full Time Location: New York Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 / year Description Cadogan Tate New York Limited has an open position for a career-orientated Account Manager. The essential duties of the role is to manage and support the development of relationships with auction houses, designers, galleries, agents, and collectors. This role would ideally suit a candidate with experience working with auction houses/galleries and an understanding of the logistics involved with the fine art industry. We are predominantly looking for a candidate who can build relationships, coordinate the auction house sales and art fairs throughout the year, and generate exciting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will have the following attributes: A minimum of 2 years experience in the fine art logistics/art fairs/auction house services Proficiency in international shipping Sales experience Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Computer literacy Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English Ability to thrive in a busy environment Professional appearance and demeanor This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday and some weekends. The company provides competitive hourly pay and excellent benefits. The salary depends on the applicant's driving and moving experience. The candidate must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S and proof of vaccination against Covid-19. Key Responsibilities Ensure all shipping aspects of Cadogan Tate's client requirements are adhered to, particular to service specifications Able to manage small and large projects from quote stage to billing completion Manage the whole client experience of the shipping process ensuring client satisfaction and expectations are exceeded Document the goods inward/outward process for international shipments, including maintenance of all incoming consolidated sea shipments from start to finish Maintain files in accordance with company protocols and procedures Ensure inventories and commercial invoices comply with international requirements and restrictions Applications for CITES, NOAA, Fish and Wildlife permits Plan turnaround times, scheduling the process of collection, packing, and shipping Ensure that all accounts are maintained to the highest level, running the shipment as cost-efficiently as able without damaging customer satisfaction Use all resources available to ensure the highest customer satisfaction Adhere to local regulations and legislations Forward planning of all operational requirements to ensure resources are available Support VP of Client Services and Senior Account Managers with their day-to-day workload including setting up client files, producing bills of lading, and generating invoices Coordinate the Auction House, Interior Design, and Gallery departments Liaise with the Dispatch and Operational departments regarding collections, deliveries, and packing requirements ensuring the client's expectations are met Ensure the department calls are handled in a prompt and professional manner Assist your line manager, General Manager, and Director when required Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job General Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, and all other Company policies and procedures in place Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures Act at all times in the best interests of Cadogan Tate, its customers, and its employees Skills Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree Thorough knowledge of the industry Ability to work well under pressure, to cost and time constraints Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds Efficiently coordinate shipments with other departments Excellent problem-solving skills, able to use intuition to resolve any issues and complaints from the client Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted work environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal computer systems - Moveware/iLive (training will be provided) Excellent email etiquette and a good telephone manner that is polite and courteous at all times Demonstrates good communication skills both written & spoken Has excellent time management and organizational skills - Able to multi-task as required Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment Comfortable in a results-driven workplace Benefits Contributed Medical, Dental and Vision 401(k) with company match FSA & TRA LTD & STD Life Insurance Competitive PTO Package Abenity Discount Program #J-18808-Ljbffr
